Snow accumulation will rise as temperatures fall. Snowmaking began at Snowshoe, Friday Nov. 2. Cooler temperatures at the base allowed the snowmaking teams to fire up the guns and start making a base. This is on top of some natural snow that fell earlier in the week. Forecasters are predicting more soon. The resort is hoping to open on Nov. 21, just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
