Ski resorts are struggling to open as much terrain as possible in time for the New Year. In Michigan, Indianhead, located in the western UP was almost fully open, but all other resorts were having a tough time getting open. Ski Brule is about 60-percent open heading into the new year, but everybody else is lagging behind. Ski resorts in the northwestern corner of the Lower Peninsula were about 40-percent open, but many in the lower part of the peninsula were closed waiting for Mother Nature to get her act together.
