It's going to get crazy at Crested Butte this week for the annual NASJA convention. NASJA stands for North American Snowsport Journalists Association. Journalists from across the United States and Canada will travel to Crested Butte, Colorado, for a few days of fun in the sun and on the slopes. Crested Butte is one of Colorado's most colorful towns, loaded with mining history, and surrounded by steep mountain slopes. New owners Tim and Diane Mueller are making Crested Butte even better. The Elevation Hotel (former Club Med), is the site of all of the fun, and once again a major lodging element at the mountain. The Slogar is gearing up for visiting journalists. This is my favorite restaurant in Colorado, serving skillet-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and melt-in-your-mouth biscuits in an old Victorian off Elk Avenue. See you there!
