It was a case of the favourites on the podium at the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup. World cup champions, Manuela Laura Pesko (42.1) and Ryoh Aono, took out honours on the half pipe. USA's Lindsey Jacobellis was second place with a score of 41.7 points, and Clair Bidez, also from the USA took third place with 39.7. Aono took first place for Japan with 45.1 and Switzerland's Iouri Podladtchikov (43.2) stood alongside fellow Swiss, Rolf Feldmann 939.6), for second and third place. The FIS World Cup approved superpipe was 150 metres long, 5.8 metres high and 18.5 metres wide. Podladtchikov said "The halfpipe was in perfect shape although I wasn't able to throw in my 1080 combination, I'm more than pleased with the result." His best finish to date was a 13th place.
