The mountain infamous for overhead powder will open Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9, so skiers can get an early taste of white. The mountain then will close during the week before reopening for the season the following weekend. "We've been seriously blessed with snow the last couple of seasons," says snowboarder Gord McConomy. "Looks like this season is set to be much of the same. I can't wait to get out there." The mountain received 53cm of snow between Dec. 1-2 bringing the yearly snowfall total to 262 cm.
