As Wyoming celebrates the 12th annual nationwide 2007 Winter Trails Day this weekend, gear manufacturers, ski shops, and resorts team up to introduce people to snowshoeing and Nordic skiing. On January 6, Grand Targhee will give free cross country lessons on the Hamster Loop and a snowshoe tour with a naturalist at 1:30 p.m. The following day, Jackson Hole and Skinny Skis team up to let skiers try out the latest gear after 1 p.m. Throw on a pair of skate skis, and you'll find speed on the flats that you never knew existed.
