To help SAC meet its modest budgetary needs, several local ski areas are hosting SAC fundraising days, which include gear demonstrations, Q&A sessions with avalanche experts and giveaways. The first SAC benefit is at Mt. Rose on Dec. 17, with future fundraisers taking place at Kirkwood (Jan. 21), Homewood (Feb. 4) and Sugar Bowl (March 25).
