The Elliot Slope, a six acre, 2000- foot more difficult trail from the top of the Spruce Peak Triple has seen the addition of snowmaking for the 2006/07 season. This will provide a groomed run off Spruce Peak without the half-pipe, hits, rails and other features of the Freeride Zone incorporated into the other two trails off the Spruce lift. Portage trail, connecting Lower Ridge to Lower Blast Off, has also seen the addition of snowmaking capabilities. Adjacent to the slopes, the Hearthstone Room, with wireless internet and A/V services, will offer a meeting and function facility that can accommodate groups of 20 to 40. And at the top, a redesigned food court at the Summit Lodge will enhance traffic flow and give skiers easier access to the spectacular view.
