Three Resorts Open Lower Slopes

Skiers and riders celebrated with smiles at Red River, Sipapu, and Ski Apache, which all opened slopes weekend of Dec. 1. Red River plans to continue to operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only with half price tickets until Dec. 20. The resort also has scheduled its race camp for Dec. 7-9. Sipapu closed during the week, but plans to re-open for daily operations Dec. 7. The resort has opened 865 feet of vertical with three trails and two lifts on mostly manufactured snow. Ski Apache, which has five percent of its terrain skiable with two lifts running and two boxes in the terrain park, is open for daily operation.
