Snowshoe is celebrating spring while mourning the end of winter, with a "Last Hurrah Weekend" the weekend of March 29. The resort will host its 6th annual pond skimming contest March 29. DJ Judd will play beach-type tunes during the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a tug-o-war competition at noon, a limbo competition at 12:30 p.m., and the pond skimming competition at 2 p.m.
