The "incredible winter" keeps on being incredible until May 30, 2011. Blackcomb's mountain operations will remain open for skiing and snowboarding, offering one of North America's longest seasons.
"This winter has been incredible for skiers and snowboarders but people are definitely getting ready for spring," said Whistler Blackcomb Operations Manager Doug MacFarlane in making the announcement. He said the decision to extend the season was a "no brainer."
Mid-April saw the resort being three inches away from the second snowiest season on record. Snowfall, so far, has totaled 585 inches.
There are a number of deals available for action now, including the EDGE cards, good for unlimited use the rest of this season, plus six days next winter. It's $398 CDN.
