Visitors to OnTheSnow.com have chosen Mad River, Ohio, as having their "Favorite Terrain Park" in the Midwest for the second consecutive year. The data period for voting was January 2011 when a Nielsen audit showed 3.4 million unique browsers logged in to the world's most visited Web platform. OnTheSnow.com is published by Mountain News Corp.

The ski resort with the top average score (on a scale of 1 to 5) in each category, and a minimum number of entries, receives the award. Visitors then ranked them in five categories: Overall Favorite, Best Nightlife, Most Family-Friendly, Best Downhill Terrain, and Best Terrain Park.

"User-generated content is a very powerful and effective way Web visitors have to communicate with each other," said Mountain News Global Managing Director Chad Dyer. "Skiers and snowboarders are relying on the word of their peers when they make resort choices."

Here is a sample of what OTS visitors wrote about Mad River: "The rails are completely awesome, keep up the great work guys. Your park made me drive four hours to come try it out." "Mad River Mountain has something for everyone, especially people who love terrain! Best in Ohio, great terrain, lots of parks. We love how they change the parks weekly so we do not get bored. "I've been to most of the top terrain parks in the Midwest and not one has exceeded my expectations like Mad River."

Mad River's instructors have taught more than one million people to ski since 1962. This family ski area with a vertical drop of 300 feet offers one quad, one triple, and three double chairlifts for uphill capacity.
