Visitors to OnTheSnow.com have chosen Blue Mountain Resort, Pa., as having their "Favorite Terrain Park" in the Mid Atlantic Region. The data period for voting was January 2011 when a Nielsen audit showed 3.4 million unique browsers logged in to the world's most visited Web platform. OnTheSnow.com is published by Mountain News Corp.

The ski resort with the top average score (on a scale of 1 to 5) in each category, and a minimum number of entries, receives the award. Visitors then ranked them in five categories: Overall Favorite, Best Nightlife, Most Family-Friendly, Best Downhill Terrain, and Best Terrain Park.

"User-generated content is a very powerful and effective way Web visitors have to communicate with each other," said Mountain News Global Managing Director Chad Dyer. "Skiers and snowboarders are relying on the word of their peers when they make resort choices."

Here is a few sample of what one OTS visitor wrote about Blue Mountain parks: "Many terrain park options. We stick to the parks, which are really awesome. The park crew is quite good. They have a good variety of kickers, rails, etc. scattered throughout the mountain. Three terrain parks, a snocross run (my personal favorite). They have beginner, intermediate and advanced parks."

Blue Mountain boasts Pennsylvania's highest vertical of 1,082 feet with 37 trails for all abilities. Blue has the region's only "BigAirBag," a huge air-filled pad that cushions landings for aerial maneuvers. Skiing and riding encompasses 158 acres.
