Jiminy Peak this week reports it had a record week for Presidents Week this year, recording 41,000 skier visits over the nine-day period. That's compared to 37,000 skier visits last year - also a record year, according to Brian Fairbank, president and CEO of Jiminy Peak. Sunday, Feb. 18 was the biggest single day in Jiminy's history, with more than 5,500 skiers punching through by 3 p.m., Jiminy staff reports. "We worked extremely hard to make this week our best ever,'' said Fairbank "We could not have achieved this milestone without the help and support of every single member of the resort staff." Other ski areas in New York, including Whiteface, and New England reported sizable crowds on the hills - in marked contrast to a dismal early season.
