Skiesta season has descended on Mt. Ashland Ski Area. With it has come a reduction in lift ticket rates and an addition in the number of days the resort is open for skiing this spring.

The resort has reduced lift ticket prices for the remainder of the season. Full day weekend tickets have been dropped to $31 for adults and $23 for youth while full day weekday tickets now cost $26 for adults and $18 for youth. Rates for the beginner lift have shrunk to $7 on weekends and $5 on weekdays.

Rental and lesson rates are also discounted for Skiesta season. Rental packages are discounted $3-5, and beginner lesson packages are reduced in cost by $9-12.

Mt. Ashland also added five bonus days to the spring calendar. The resort will now operate on its normal Thursday through Monday schedule until April 3. It plans to operate its lifts Fridays through Sundays April 8-10 and 15-17.

Season passes for 2011-12 are also on sale during the month of April. A season pass for ages 13-69 costs $249. After April 30, the price goes up to $469. Special sale pass rates are also available for 12-year-olds and younger, seniors, and disabled skiers. The passes may be purchased in person at the resort or online.
