Spring season is just around the corner, and, if that isn't enough reason to celebrate, check out Breckenridge's (almost) month long celebration.
Breck is hosting a new event Spring Fever Festival, April 1-2, which couples good snow conditions with sunny "bluebird" days. In addition to skiing and riding, there are special events and concerts every week and a boatload of lift and lodging deals.
Breck For a Buck, an additional day of lodging and skiing/riding for a buck, is still available. The offer requires a multi-night stay. It's been available all season long.
Catch the Spring Fever lodging starts from $99 per night and is available from April 1 through end of season. It requires a two-night stay and does not include lift tickets. Lift and lodging packages are available from $120 per person, per night, and 40-percent off condo lodging.
Stay and Ski Sundays allows you to extend your weekend. Add a Sunday night and get a $79 room rate.
Follow the links below to check out all the spring options for lodging and lift tickets. Purchasing your lift tickets online will save you up to 18-percent and more over the window price at the resort.
The free Bud Light concert series at the base area of Peak 8 will be taking place on weekends with a little something for all music tastes. Colorado's The Flobots lead off with rock and hip-hop on April 2, followed by a little bluegrass with Cornmeal the next day. The weekend of April 9-10 Reggae icons The Wailers lead off Saturday and Sunday Los Angles based Ozomatli cooks up some Latin salsa. April 16-17 East Coast rockers Moe leads off followed on Sunday by another Colorado band Devotchka with a unique Gypsy style of multi-instrumental performances. All concerts are scheduled from approximately 3-5 p.m.
There are restaurant specials all over town throughout the month; Friday night singles mixers in the TBar and downtown après ski barbeques. Races and terrain park challenges will be taking place throughout the month. Don't forget the Breck Spring Beer Festival Saturday, April 9, and the Ultimate après Ski Pub Crawl the following Saturday, April 16.
Festivities and the season draw to a close with a weekend-long Easter egg hunt April 23-24. Kids and adults alike can hunt for prize filled eggs stashed on the mountain and around town.
What a way to end the season, great skiing and riding with a month-long party.
