Spirit Mountain has one week left before the season's end and is offering daily lift tickets are just $15. It's time to shake off those Cabin Fever doldrums. Spring is just around the corner.

Daily equipment rentals also have been reduced through the end of the season March 27. Ski rentals are $10 and a snowboard rental is $15. Daily highs in March are mostly in the 30s, and the month often brings more sunshine. It's a perfect way to end the season.

Show your season pass and receive $4 off Spirit's popular new Timber Twister coaster ride.  Single rider tickets are $8 and a double rider ticket is $12. The coaster-like ride plunges 750 feet down the mountain on a two-third-mile track, and brings you back up. Check out the You Tube video link below. It's exciting stuff with speeds up to 26 mph as you weave through the tree line.

The nearby Duluth Spirit Mountain Inn has ski packages starting from $89.94 midweek, and the AmericInn has lift and lodging packages starting from $95.90 midweek. You need to mention the Spirit Mountain website special when making a reservation.

Spirit offers 22 long runs and arguably one of the largest terrain parks in the Midwest.  This is where pro-snowboarder Mason Aguirre first honed his skills. He placed in the top 10 for this winter's Dew Tour Superpipe competition.
