Snow and ski season are constantly on the mind when you live to ski or ride. Powderhorn and Arapahoe Basin are giving those who plan ahead or who want to capitalize on the remainder of the season a chance to save.
Powderhorn's Savor the Season special provides locals the opportunity to purchase next year's season pass at the lowest price available. Those new to Powderhorn can purchase their first season pass (for 2011-12) now, and enjoy skiing or riding for the remainder of the current season for free. Passes are on sale through April 3 and are available at the Powderhorn ticket office.
Arapahoe Basin urges skiers and riders make the most out of the extended ski season. A-Basin burns the candle at both ends competing to be the first Colorado resort to open and the last to close. Now on sale is the Spring 3 Pass for $138. Receive three days of skiing or riding for the regular ticket window price of two. Tickets are non-transferable and can be used anytime from now through the close of the 2010-11 ski season tentatively scheduled for early June. Purchase the Spring 3 Pass online or at the ticket window.
Spring skiing thrives at A-Basin. Events at the resort are stacked from now all the way through the end of May. Save Our Snow Celebration, 22nd Annual Enduro, Beach and Egg Hunt, 9th Annual Marmot Grind, 8th Annual Huck, Rock and Roll, 7th Annual Red Ball Beach Bash, 10th Annual Festival of Brewpubs, and May Concert Series are all on tap.
Look for next season's passes to go on sale sometime in April, says A-Basin's Kimberly Trembearth. Those sporting the March Mustache will receive 10 percent off any purchase at Arapahoe Sports in the A-Frame building.
