Ski 4 Yellow takes over the slopes of Steamboat Resort with an impressive inaugural event.

It kicks off on Friday night, March 25, with a star-studded gala and live auction featuring Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes, and other sports notables.

Everyone hits the slopes  Saturday with Ski 4 Yellow takes over the mountain. Participants ski and ride their way across peaks and nearly 3,000 acres on the slopes of Steamboat. Participants test their skills with mountain challenges and on the NASTAR course. The event culminates with a free concert at the base area by John Popper and Duskray Troubadors.

Registration is open to the first 200 participants who commit to fundraising a minimum of $500 and pay the $75 registration fee, which includes the Friday night evening, skiing, riding, and lunch on Saturday.

Kerry Shea is the co-chair for the Ski 4 Yellow and Ride 4 Yellow events. "What a strong way to show those battling cancer that we care, support them and can make a difference through this unique event. As we're limited to the first 200 participants, it won't take long to fill up especially with the caliber of Olympians that will be on hand."

More than 20 Olympians are currently scheduled to be on hand and participants can anticipate sharing the day with Bill Demong (Olympic gold and silver medalist, World Champion); Deb Armstrong (Olympic gold medalist); Todd Lodwick (Olympic silver medalist, World Champion); Travis Mayer (Olympic silver medalist); Johnny Spillane (3x Olympic silver medalists, World Champion); Billy Kidd (Olympic silver medalist, World Champion); Nelson Carmichael (Olympic bronze medalist); Erin Simmons Nemec (3x X-Games silver medalist); and Ann Battelle (World Champion).

Half of the proceeds raised will go directly to LiveStrong, the organization founded by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong to serve people affected by cancer and empower them to take action. The remaining half of the proceeds will go to The 4 Yellow Foundation set up through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation to address local cancer needs across the Yampa Valley.
