The early frenzy is on for season passes at SoCal resorts. Most of the resorts have launched season pass sales for next year, offering skiers and snowboarders substantial reductions on prices if purchased this spring.
Snow Valley Mountain Resort started up its sale of 2011-2012 Anytime Season Passes in February. The passes are valid every day, including holidays and nights. They are also valid for Snow Play. Those looking for the best deal need to act fast as the last day for the lowest price is March 15. Adult passes can be purchased for $199. The next sale, which runs March 16-May 31, raises the price to $249 for adults. Sale rates are available for child, teen, and senior passes, too.
The resort is also offering two discounted ticket options in March. Lift tickets St. Patrick's Day, March 17, will cost $17, and passholders from other ski resorts can buy a lift ticket for $10 Mondays through Fridays during March.
Mountain High introduced a new season pass product--the Dual Season Pass. The season pass is valid for the rest of this season and all of the 2011-12 season. Adult passes cost $299. The Dual Season Pass is valid on all days, including holidays and night skiing, and guarantees admittance during sell out days. The passes also grant access to the North Pole Tubing Park.
Child Dual Season Passes are also available for $129. A limit of two children's passes can be purchased for every adult pass. The sale runs through the end of this year's season, which is typically Easter.
Big Bear Mountain Resorts launched the spring sale of its dual mountain 2011-12 season pass, which grants access to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Anytime passes, which cost $559 for adults, are valid any day at both resorts, nights at Snow Summit, and the shuttle between resorts. Young adult, child, midweek only, and midweek plus Sunday, and night passes are available, too. The sale runs through May 31.
Season passes for all SoCal resorts are available for purchase online.
