China Peak Mountain Resort is readying to launch its spring season pass sale. Other ticket deals are still available, too, for skiers and riders this spring.

The resort plans to start up its spring season pass sale March 12. Skiers and riders without season passes for this year can access the lifts for the remainder of this season with the purchase of a pass for next year. Rates for next year's season passes are slated to remain the same as this year.

Skiers and riders can also find several ways to get discounted tickets this spring for China Peak. College student deals and discounted tickets at the resort's Fresno outlet offer two options while cash cards from Costco add a third way to save money on the slopes.

College students can get on the slopes for $19 this spring on Black Fridays. The deals for college students also extend to 50 percent off rentals, $2 sausages, $2 PBRs, and $3 Peak Pilsners. Black Fridays are scheduled for March 11 and April 8.

Discounted lift tickets are available at China Peak Sports in Fresno. Juniors and adults can purchase weekend lift tickets for $5 less than the ticket window at the resort. The children's ticket discount is $2. Midweek discounts run $5-10, depending on age.

China Peak Cash Cards, which are available at Costco stores, can be applied toward purchasing lift tickets, but not season passes. Two $50 cash cards cost $80 at participating Costco stores, including Fresno North, Clovis, Visalia, Bakersfield, Turlock, Salinas, Santa Cruz, Sand City, Merced, Modesto, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, and Gilroy.

China Peak plans to operate its lifts this spring until May 1.
