The new British comedy film, Chalet Girl, was filmed in St. Anton am Arlberg in the Austrian Alps and is set to be released in cinemas from March 16.
It is a film about having the guts to 'take the jump'. It tells the story of Kim Matthews (Felicity Jones), 19, who used to be a champion skateboarder, but now she's stuck in a dead-end-job trying to support her dad. Opportunity presents itself in the form of a catering job in one of the most exclusive chalets in the Alps.
At first Kim doesn't fit it - she can't ski and doesn't understand the posh world she's in, but she soon discovers that her old skateboarding skills help her adapt to snowboarding in no time.
After realising she's a natural on the snowboard, Kim enters St. Anton's big end-of-season competition to win some much-needed prize money. In order to have a shot at winning, Kim must overcome her fears, all the while trying not to complicate matters by thinking about her hansome boss, Jonny, who is played by Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick.
