Resorts in this article: Fórmigal

Formigal has made improvements this winter, particularly for freestylers and apres-ski enthusiasts.

Freestylers have a new boardercross slope located at the top of the Furco for practising jumps and spins. The terrain park has also been expanded (600 square metres) to be more user-friendly for all levels - there is a new beginners' area and more banisters, jumps, and banks.

The choice of bars and restaurants has also grown in Formigal: the Yurta restaurant on the Rinconada slope has opened and serves authentic Mongolian dishes, such as soups, broths, and cold meats; the San Miguel Peak Bar, at 1950 metres, serves cold beers next to the top of the Garmet and Batallero chairlifts; and the Gemsbock restaurant has been totally renovated and is now a typical cider house.

The enclosed terrace at Sarrios has been transformed into a music and tapas bar where skiers can soak up the sun while listening to tunes from top DJs.

There's a new addition to the apres-ski scene: Keeper Formigal is a new nightclub which is located by the old Furco lift in the village. Music from top DJs can also be heard at the Marchica Pub. An extensive line-up of concerts and events are on offer throughout the season.
