A break in the snow clouds has brought better visibility and good riding conditions today in the Alps. The snow will return tomorrow with the heaviest dumps forecast for Switzerland: 15-20cm for Gstaad, Murren-Schilthorn, and Verbier.
If you're looking for something to do in the Alps this weekend, how about skiing 25 hours straight for a good cause? The 25th Freeride Dominique Perret returns to Gstaad this Saturday. The event is open to all. Teams must be made up of four people who take it in turns to ski or snowboard for 25 hours straight. The goal is to clock up as many miles as possible. Each team makes a pledge to complete a certain number of miles and money raised will be donated to charity.
This Saturday also sees the return of the "Hoff" to Switzerland. David Hasslehof is reviving the 80s with his "The Hoff Is Back" tour accompanied by the Baywatch Soundsystem at Riders Palace in Laax. The party kicks off at 9 p.m. and is expected to attract up to 1000 fans of the 80s.
