Heavenly closes at Mt Hotham

Milky Way, The Canyon and Snake Gully snow cover is too minimal to allow safe skiing and boarding and the management of Mt. Hotham have made the decision to close the valley for 2007. The Drift, Roadrunner and The Village remain open as does the Summit Terrain Park and the Big D beginner area. Guests to Hotham will receive 35% discount on all lift passes for the last two weeks of September until the resort officially closes for the winter. Adult passes are AU$59, youth AU$50 and children and seniors AU$29. The Spring festival runs from the 17th to the 28th of September with a host of events on and off the snow. Hotham will implement the AU$3million snowmaking project over the summer installing new snow guns on Snake Gully and the top of Imagine to increase snow reliability for 2008.
