March's longer, warmer days bring lots of fun events to Boyne Mountain Resort and Boyne Highlands, and there are lift and lodging packages to go along with them.

Enjoy sun soaked morning runs on the slopes and craft beer sampling at Boyne Highlands Saturday afternoon, March 12. It's the second annual Brew-Ski Festival. The event features more than 100 craft beers from some of the Midwest's finest microbreweries and entertainment beginning at noon. Head inside to the legendary Zoo Bar - the name says it all - after skiing or riding for some rocking music by the Aaron Vaughn Band.

Lift and lodging packages start from $233 per person, per weekend, based on double occupancy.  The package includes Friday and Saturday night lodging at the Highlands, unlimited lift ticket for the weekend, Friday reception, breakfast both days, five drink tickets, a T-shirt, and commemorative mug.

It gets a little krazy around Boyne Country March 18-20. Krazy Days takes place at the Highlands and Carnival Weekend is going on over at the Mountain. Both feature fun events for the whole family and offer a good party for the adults.

Krazy Days kids' events include a Silly Slalom, jump competition, face painting, and costume judging.The party kicks off Friday night for the adults with Charlie's Root Fusion providing the music in the Slopeside Lounge. There will be a dual GS race, an adult Silly Slalom, and, of course, a pond skimming event Saturday.The Get Krazy Party in The Zoo Bar from 4:30 to 8 p.m. features Aaron Vaughn and Friends. Nancy's Fury is in the Slopeside Lounge from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Krazy Days weekend lift and lodging packages at the Highlands start from $240 per person for the weekend, based on double occupancy. The package includes Friday and Saturday night lodging, weekend lift tickets, breakfast, ski or snowboard rental, tubing, and entry to all Krazy Day events.

Carnival Weekend at the Mountain March 18-20 is one of the best Mardi Gras parties in the Heartland. The Mountain pulls out all the stops with beads, bands, and costume competition. Mike Anthony, one of Detroit's top club DJ's, will be holding court in the Civic Center both days, and Mac Daddy will be performing Friday and Saturday night. There are NASTAR races, a mini-pipe race, silly slalom and a Seal Slide for the kids. Teen night at the Avalanche Bay Arcade takes place Saturday night.

Lift and lodging nightly packages are available at both the Mountain and Highlands starting from $110 per person, per night, based on double occupancy. It includes a nights lodging, breakfast and a lift ticket per person.

The local county sheriff puts on extra road patrol for this weekend. You might want to consider spending the night, but don't wait long to book a reservation. Rooms fill quickly for this weekend.
