The Shred Down Austrian Masters is the oldest, most popular snowboarding event in Austria and will return to Westendorf March 11-13.
The Westendorf Snowboardclub organise a fun party atmopshere for contestants and spectators on the mountain, followed by the legendary Shred Down Party in the Alpenrosensaal.
International snowboarding pros will flock to Westendorf to battle it out in the freestyle competitions and let loose at the after party. Regular participants in the event include Wolle Nyvelt, Steve Gruber, and Stefan Gimpl.
"The legendary Freestyle competition is one of the most innovative and spectacular slopestyle contests in Europe," explains snowboarding legend Reinhard "Gogo" Gossner, founder and organiser of the event.
Set on a sunny plateau, Westendorf has access to Austria's largest lift-linked ski area, the Ski Welt. The Ski Welt offers access to 250 kilometres of pistes.
The Ski Welt is popular with boarders and terrain parks are located in Ellmau (with kicker, rails, and a ground loop), Westendorf, and Soll.
Westendorf is one of the liveliest resorts in the Ski Welt with a wide choice of apres-ski venues in the village and at the bottom of the slopes.
