You don't have to pay full price to ski or ride at Northstar-at-Tahoe. The resort offers several ways to get discounted tickets, including advanced online purchases and value season vouchers good for spring skiing.

Purchasing lift tickets in advance online knocks dollars off the rates. A one-day adult lift ticket purchased online runs $78-82 compared to the $90-92 cost at the ticket window. Online lift tickets are available for all age groups for single days, two out of three days, or three out of four days.

Online tickets must be purchased at least seven days in advance. The lift tickets are mailed, allowing skiers to go straight to the lift instead of stopping to trade in a voucher at a ticket window.

Lift ticket and rental combos are also sold online with a $12 reduction in the adult package. Online rental reservations are available for skiers, snowboarders, all age groups, and one, two, three, or four days. Online lift ticket and rental packages can be purchased and reserved two days out.

Value season vouchers can be used at Northstar from March 15 through the end of the season. The free vouchers, which can be picked up at participating stores around the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Reno, are redeemed for a $61 lift ticket. A list of shops carrying the vouchers is online.

Two college weeks remain in the season-- March 14-18
and 21-25. College students with valid ID can purchase lift tickets for $61.

Northstar's Quad Paks are still on sale. The four non-transferable tickets for all age groups can be used consecutively or sporadically throughout the season on any date, as they do not have blackout days. The Quad Paks reduce the daily lift ticket by up to $20. They can be purchased online.
