A couple of big events are coming up at Loveland. The 5th Annual Vert Alert Series is a slopestyle event in the Love Park. Skiers and riders can compete for a chance to win thousands of dollars worth of product. The Vert Alert Sessions are March 22 and April 19. You'll need a lift ticket and a signed waiver. Loveland Ski Area also hosts the 12th Annual 3-Pin Grin Telemark Terrain Classic on March 29. Some of the best Telemark skiers from across Colorado will converge on Loveland for a day of competition, festivities and fun. It's on Loveland's black diamond run Cat's Meow. Contestants score points on turn quality, terrain choice, speed, air and overall performance as they negotiate bumps, gates, a sizable "kicker" as well as an uphill finish. Registration will be in the Rathskellar Bar from 8-10 a.m. the morning of the event. Entry fee is $20 or for the entry fee and lift ticket $60. For any questions/comments, you may call (303) 571-5580 ext. 141. Loveland closes for the season in early May.
