Many halfpipe champions have come out of La Plagne, thanks to the local Club des Sports, which works to scout out and develop young talent like Kevin Rolland and Benoit Valentin.

Rolland, 21, was recently named King of Style at the Dew Tour in Killington. He also took the Superpipe trophy in the 2011 X Games at Aspen.

Valentin took second place in the Austrian World Cup event, which was held in Kreischberg in January.
