Women from Calgary have a ski day just for them. Nakiska Ski Resort has a program on select Thursdays just for women skiers and snowboarders.

The women's day program combines transportation from Calgary to the resort, a lesson, a lift ticket, lunch, and guest speakers. It provides a one-day getaway and a chance to connect with other female skiers and snowboarders. The program has already launched for this season, but runs on four more Thursdays--Feb. 17 and March 3, 17, and 31.

The bus departs Calgary at 8:30 a.m. from Ski Cellar Snowboard across from Canada Olympic Park. Free parking is available for women in the program. The bus returns to Calgary by 5 p.m.

The day at Nakiska includes a 90-minute lesson and a full day of skiing or snowboarding until the bus departs. Lunch is included.

The women's day program costs $119 CAN. Participants need to register by phone.

Participants can rent skis or snowboards at the resort for an additional fee. Ski rental packages that include skis, boots, and poles run $36-49 CAN for a full day. A snowboard rental package that includes the board and boots costs $36 CAN per day. Helmets can be rented for $5 per day.
