Granite Peak, Wisconsin's largest ski area, has some fun events coming up over the next three weeks, and if you would like to kindle a little spark of romance they have a package for that as well.
Mardi Gras Festival takes place Feb. 26. The Pulaski Festival is scheduled for March 5-6. Romantic getaways at the Jefferson Street Inn, a luxury, boutique hotel in downtown Wausau, are complete with lift tickets, in-room whirlpool, and a fireplace. You add the spark.
Three-day lift and lodging packages are available for the price of two. You stay and ski/ride Friday and Saturday and get Sunday lift and lodging for free. The Jefferson Street Inn package for two people starts from $595 and includes two nights' lodging, lift tickets, and a couple's massage.
Enjoy Cajun-style food and throw down some Hurricane drink specials at Granite Peak's Mardi Gras Festival. Food and drinks will be served on the outdoor patio, and there will be silly slalom races for all ages. Don't forget the beads. What's a Mardi Gras without beads, even in the Cheesehead State? G-Man will be performing live blues music in the Saloon.
Get ready to celebrate the fifth annual Pulaski Weekend Festival March 5-6. The Badger State has a large Polish population. A three-day lift ticket will be available for the price of a two-day ticket. Live music will be taking place and Demo Days is also scheduled that weekend; a chance to try the latest available equipment. Bring out the lederhosen Sunday. There will be more Polish food, music, and beer specials available on the outdoor patio.
