Stop in at Shell Gas Stations to pick up free ski vouchers. Free skiing with purchase of gas at Shell stations in California is available at six Sierra resorts: Northstar-at-Tahoe, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, China Peak, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Tahoe Donner, and Mt. Shasta Ski and Snowboard Park.

Drivers must purchase 10 gallons of fuel at participating Shell stations in order to get a voucher for free skiing. The voucher is redeemable for one free full day adult lift ticket with the purchase of another full price adult day lift ticket at participating resorts. Only one voucher is available per purchase, and Shell attendants must stamp the voucher and the gas receipt.

The vouchers with gas receipts can be redeemed for free skiing through April 17, but some ski areas may close earlier. Each resort also has specific restrictions for use of the vouchers, but the free lift ticket and purchased lift ticket must be used the same day.

The vouchers are valid at Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe Mondays through Fridays until March 5. They are also valid Sundays March 6 through the end of the season. Blackout dates are Feb. 21-25.

China Peak accepts the vouchers Sundays through Fridays until May 1, with the exception of Feb. 20. Mt. Shasta takes the vouchers Tuesdays for day skiing and Thursdays for night skiing.

The vouchers are valid at Tahoe Donner Sundays through Fridays except for Feb. 21-27. They are accepted at Mt. Rose Mondays through Fridays with no blackout dates.
