Skiers heading to France's Maurienne region may be interested in the Ski Maurienne Sans Frontières pass, which opens the slopes of 18 different resorts to pass holders.

The pass is available for five days of skiing and is priced at €90. This works out to €18 a day. The average price for the Maurienne resorts is €26 for a single day pass without the SMSF card.

The card actually works like a coupon book. Each of the five coupons gives skiers access to a different resort. Clients can purchase the card at the ticket counter of participating resorts or at the Saint Jean de Maurienne tourism office.

The SKSF card is valid for Albiez Montrond, Aussois, Bessans (cross country ski), Bonneval sur Arc, Les Bottières, Bramans-La Planay, La Norma, La Toussuire, Le Corbier, St. Jean d'Arves, Les Karellis, Orelle, St. Colomban des Villards, St. François Longchamp, St. Sorlin d'Arves, Monolithe cross country area, Val Cenis Vanoise, Valfréjus, Valloire, and Valmeinier. In some of the smaller resorts and the cross country areas, a single coupon is valid for two people.

The SMSF card is personal and cannot be used by more than one person (except for the small resorts and cross country areas).
