Appalachian Ski Mtn. Plans Two Ladies Park Nights

Appalachian Ski Mtn. in Blowing Rock, N.C., is hosting two Ladies Park Nights events on two Saturday evenings this month and next.

The events are Feb. 26 and March 18.

The Appalachian Terrain Park crew will construct a terrain park area with features designed specifically for women to learn and make progress on. The area will be open to ladies only.

"We want women of all ages and abilities, both ski and snowboard, to get together and ride in a laid-back environment among friends," Appalachian's Drew Stanley said.

Each session begins at 7 p.m. with a flexible, open format.

"It's whatever the girls would like to see," Stanley said. "If you just want to make laps through the girls-only park, sounds great to us. If you are starting out and want to learn how to slide your first box, or how to hit a jump properly, ATP will be staffing select Trick Tip Advisers who will be happy to help you progress."

Appalachian has lots of prizes to raffle off to participants at the end of each session.

The Ladies Park Night events are free with the purchase of a lift ticket.
