A new ski lift, connecting Madonna di Campiglio to Pinzolo, is scheduled to open December 2011.

This link will create a new ski area comprising 150 kilometres of pistes extending from Pinzolo to Folgarida-Marilleva, with Madonna di Campiglio in the centre. The ski area will be accessed via 59 ski lifts and feature three snowboard parks and more than 300 ski instructors.

This winter season brought new additions to the slopes, with the opening of the new high-speed, eight-person Tulot gondola lift in Pinzolo and the new DoloMitica ski run. The Ursus Snowpark in Madonna di Campiglio has been upgraded too: the entire range of boxes has been replaced with new Scandinavian shaper fun boxes. The new equipment allows for a variety of combos on flats ranging from 6.9 to 12 metres. It also has been expended to 70,000 square metres.

The well known Italian resort of Madonna di Campiglio (1550m) is famous for its excellent shopping facilities and state-of-the-art lift network, complete with an advanced remote reading system for ski passes that allows the elimination of queues at the lifts.

Pinzolo (785m) is a picturesque village centred around its 14th-century church. Its local ski areas is made up of 11 slopes measuring a total of 30 kilometres.
