Bridger Bowl Resort piles on the late winter events. Competitions cater to all disciplines with something for skiers, snowboarders, and telemark skiers.
The annual King and Queen of The Ridge Hike and Ski-a-thon takes place this weekend, Feb. 12. The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center. Participants-individuals and families alike--collect pledges and compete to see how many hikes up to The Ridge and ski downs they can complete in five hours.
Free skiers head to Bridger for the Bridger Gully Free Ride Ski Competition Feb. 19. Skiers ascend to The Ridge to descend in the best line down the Bridger Gully, a natural gully littered with features to challenge those seeking aggressive lines.
Two terrain park events set up snowboarders and skiers in separate competitions of slopestyle technique. The Snowboard Terrain Park Jam is schedule for Feb. 26 while the skier event takes place the next day, Feb. 27.
The Pinhead Classic returns to Bridger Bowl March 5 for telemark skiers. Participants don crazy costumes and compete for prizes with the fastest time.
Participants entered in many of Bridger's event automatically get entered in the Grand Prize Drawing to be held March 20.
