Visitors to Brian Head Resort in the next couple of months should be sure to bring their cameras and a creative eye.

The southern Utah resort will give away a free season ticket for the best video and photograph taken between now until April 1. Each submission must have been shot at Brian Head or be about the resort in order to qualify. Shots of everything from skiers to sunsets and beyond will be considered, according to Jon Christoffersen, head of marketing at the resort in the mountains above Parowan.

The winners will be announced at the annual Spring Carnival in April, which will commemorate 45 years in the ski and snowboard business for Brian Head Resort. They will receive an adult lift pass for the 2011-2012 season, worth $549, as well as free skiing or riding for the rest of this season.

Videos can be in either .mpeg-4 or .wmv formats. Photos can be either in .jpeg or .tif formats. All submissions must be smaller than 12 megabytes. Individuals may send multiple submissions, but each one must be sent in a separate e-mail. Images may be enhanced, but no entries may include any copyrighted material, such as songs or likenesses, without written consent from the copyright holder.

All photos or videos can be sent to by the end of day March 31, and include a mailing address and/or fax number where a release can be sent so that Brian Head may have permission to use these images in its advertising or marketing efforts.
