Fun on the snow was the theme of EMSCO Products at the Snow Show. New this year is the Snow Warrior Snowball Shield, "It's perfect for little brothers or sisters, to protect them from their siblings," said EMSCO's Sid Strand.

The fun on the snow continues with snow slingers, super saucers, snow raiders, baby boggans, snow/sand brick makers, snow tubes, snow twin toboggans, and freeride toy snowboards. Strand told OnTheSnow  the snowboards are great for beginners. "Kids can learn on these a lot easier because they're easy to slip their boots into the binding straps. It's a lot cheaper, too."

Knives are at the Snow Show and are being touted as something perfect for ski patrollers. A wide variety of Spyderco knives are available in all sizes. The one that ski patrollers like, though, is called The Assist. This version is one-handed with a sheepfoot blade to help during rescues. It has a cobra hood, which is a rough piece on the top, to make it easier to open when you're wearing gloves. The Assist has a carbide tip glass breaker and rescue whistle, which every skier or rider should use, especially in the backcountry.

Remember neoprene Croakie sunglass holders? They're still around after 32 years, with more colorful versions and a new ARC version which means Articulating Reattachable Cable Retainer. Other eyeglass retainers have your favorite college team's logo. They also make unisex, one-size-fits-all belts, which are sublimated on a polyester strap.
