Waterville Valley Resort is going pink Feb. 6 in a Boarding 4 Breast Cancer fundraising event that offers participants the chance to have fun and help a good cause.

"We wanted to find a charity that would be relevant to a lot of our employees, and a lot of our snowboarders and skiers. Boarding 4 Breast Cancer is a current program with good outreach, that helps a good cause, that's relevant not just to girls but also for people who have had cancer in their lives through a family member or loved one," Waterville's Deb Moore told OnTheSnow.

"We turn our mountain pink," Moore said. "Everyone wears pink, and we have these pink stickers, and Boarding 4 Breast Cancer shows up with information."

Waterville is running a Pink Rail Jam on Superbowl Sunday. "For $40 people can enter the rail jam, and get a goodie bag," Moore said. People also can buy raffle tickets for the Ultimate Women's Raffle," Moore said.

The $40 also gets participants a lift ticket the resort's Poma Lift, and all proceeds from those lift ticket sales, and from the raffle ticket sales, go to benefit B4BC.

Companies including Burton donate products for the raffle, such as snowboards, goggles, freestyle skis and other gear.

"It's very, very fun," Moore said.
