Ladies, bring along some girlfriends and head to Telluride Resort for Women's Week Feb. 27 - March 3, 2011. It's The Centennial State's original winter girlfriend getaway.
Women's Week was created 29 years ago to cater to the learning styles and interests of women, and was the first women-only ski program in Colorado. It's grown to include many après-ski activities and benefits.
The event, which caters to skiers and snowboarders, is all about pampering yourself and having a little fun with your instruction. There's an opening reception, stretch classes, après ski activities, day-off adventures, a shopping night, and a closing celebration dinner.
Instruction for all level skiers and riders is provided by the resort's leading female instructors and includes complimentary use of top-of-the-line gear. There is assessment of alignment and equipment, video analysis of technique, and NASTAR course and timing instruction.
The Gold Package is $870 per person and includes instruction, entertainment, and lift tickets for lesson days. The $700 Silver Package covers instruction and entertainment if you're a season pass holder. Lodging is not included in the price.
Bring new girlfriends if you're a returning participant. You receive a discount for each new participant you bring: one friend, 10 percent; two friends, 15 percent; three, 20 percent; and four to nine friends, 30 percent.
Telluride Reservations is offering a fourth night free on condos and private homes during February. Lift and lodging packages are available starting from $88 per person, per night, based on double occupancy and a three-night stay throughout the ski season in limited quantities.
