Ski vacationers know that speedy access from the Salt Lake City airport to Wasatch Mountain slopes is one of the big appeals for a winter vacation in Utah.
Now, eager-beavers from out of town who land at Salt Lake City International Airport and rush to the slopes just got another money-saving tool: their boarding pass.
All Park City-area resorts will take a boarding pass and turn it into a free lift ticket, all on the same day, as part of Park City's START (Ski Today and Ride Today) promotion. The deal requires online registration prior to departure from out of state, a copy or original of the boarding pass (some airlines take passes at departure gate), and an out-of-state license or valid ID. Utah residents, no matter if they are flying in to Salt Lake City, are not eligible for this program.
The other catch is the promotion runs to Feb. 18, then resumes again on March 27 for Canyons, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley, unless the latter has reached its skier capacity already on the day of arrival.
START works for adults, children, or seniors. Children must have their own ID or be accompanied by an adult with a valid ID in order to participate.
