Keystone is offering some fun deals. One is a group lesson starting from $109 per day. Or Keystone offers two group lessons and you get the third free from $218.

You can also hit some expert terrain with the Keystone Adventure Tour (KAT). Guides lead you down Independence Bowl, which is Keystone's newest expert-only terrain. You also can tour Ericson and Bergman bowls. The snow cats are heated and the terrain is breathtaking. The tour includes a catered lunch at the Independence Bowl Hut. The meeting spot is in River Run Village at Keystone Sports.

Ryan Whaley with the resort has done the tour a few times. "KAT tours are like having your own private mountain with unlimited powder stashes, with amazing tree skiing to high altitude terrain it's hard to believe you're so close to Denver.  Throw in a gourmet lunch at a private backcountry yurt and you'll have one of the most memorable experiences possible in the Rockies."

KAT guides are not ski instructors. They aren't there to help you learn to ski or ride better. They are there to keep you safe and get you down the mountain. They know how to ski the powder and the trees. Take a lesson before your tour if you have any doubts. KAT tours are $225 per person, regardless of age. It is recommended that you are an advanced to expert skier or rider.

Keystone is offering a Getaway Package through Feb. 17. A studio condo starts at $112 per night, with no minimum night stay required. Book it and get away for the weekend. Keystone is an easy trip from the Front Range.
