Saalbach-Hinterglemm is offering outdoor evening entertainment this season, with a new illuminated treetop walk and improved night-time skiing.
The new "Baumzipfelweg" treetop path and "Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps" offer airy strolls above the snowy treetops. It is located at the end of the valley in Hinterglemm and open from mid-December to mid-March, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; it is illuminated at night. Entrance costs €9 adults; €5-6 children; €8 youth. Tickets are available at the Lindlingalm.
The Nightpark Hinterglemm is now open daily until 9:30 p.m. with a new and extended floodlit piste. This season, a new eight-person cable car, the "Unterschwarzbahn", now serves the nightpark and replaces the old T-bar, the "Unterschwarzachlift". The new cable car is complete with heated seats and can carry 2400 people per hour up to the top station above the Gerstreit reservoir.
The Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area features 200 kilometres of well-groomed slopes, 55 modern cableways and lifts, 10 kilometres of cross-country tracks, a funpark, GS race courses, a flood-lit slope, ungroomed moguls, and snowparks.
The resort has enjoyed a snowy start to the season and is now reporting 30cm in the valley, 45cm on the middle slopes, and 50cm on the upper slopes.
