Heartland Skiers Sweat Out Thanksgiving

Resorts in this article: Trollhaugen

There are a few options for Midwest skiers, but not many; outside of leaving the region. Ski Brule in the UP, Wild Mountain and Lutsen in Minnesota, and Granite Peak, Tyrol and Trollhaugen in Wisconsin are your choices. All have limited terrain open and are adding more as quickly as possible. In fact, for die-hard Twin City skier and boarders, Trollhaugen, located just across the Wisconsin border, is planning their first Friday all-night skiing fest this Friday, Nov. 24. The other 100-or-so ski areas scattered around the Great Lakes states are now looking at opening in early December; winter weather permitting. The passion obviously runs high with those areas that have worked overtime to open the season.
