Indianhead's Snowbar Hasn't Melted Yet

The ski season isn't over until the snow bar melts. Or at least that's how the timing usually works at Indianhead in Michigan's UP where the outside snow bar with its two bartenders has become a popular springtime feature, lasting until the area closes in early April. Saturday, March 31 is the famed Slush Cup starting at 1 pm. Awards given for best crash, best trick and overall crowd appeal. Saturday, April 7, it's time for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Find the eggs hidden on the ski hill, and if you find the right one it wins a season pass! The last day of the season is April 8. So far this season the Head has received over 15 feet of snow; not bad for one of the warmest Heartland winters on record.
