Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania is hosting Subaru's Master of the Mountain weekend Feb. 12-13.
Wintersports U, the resort's ski and snowboard school, will offer Confidence in Motion, free clinics aimed at various levels of skiers and snowboarders.
Clinics take skiers and rider in three broad ability groups and help them improve. The clinics are free.
Breaking the Wedge is for skiers and snowboarders who are just getting started, to help them learn to turn more easily, effectively, and efficiently.
Control on Blues is for skiers and riders who have acquired basic skills, to help them control speed on more difficult terrain.
Short Radius Turns in the Fall Line is for skiers and riders who have advanced skills, but who can profit from work on making short radius turns in a rhythmic way to handle steeper terrain and crowded trails with more confidence.
Hidden Valley hosted a Subaru Master of the Mountain weekend Jan. 16-17 as well.
This is the 16th year for the event.
Hidden Valley is a four-season resort with 470 vertical feet. It has 28 runs covering 140 skiable acres serviced by one quad, two triples, three doubles and two surface lifts. Snowboarders are welcome on all runs and in the terrain park. Thirty kilometers of cross country trails are available.
