The night time is the right time to ski or ride at Sundance Resort.

The Provo-area mountain has unveiled a trio packages that encourage locals and visitors to stick around after the day's lifts close.

The lights go on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for after-dark carving on Top Gun, Montoya, Stampede and Maverick from 4:40 to 9 p.m., all served by Ray's Lift. An adult nighttime lift ticket costs $30, and children 6-12 pay $20. Sundance also has multiple variations for day-night, twilight and evening-only skiing and riding.

Added enticements come in the form of learn-to-ski, family and night rental packages at the Utah mountain.

Two hours of instruction from 5 to 7 p.m. plus rental of skis or snowboard go for $50. This deal must be booked online and a receipt presented at the Snowsports Office for redemption.

A one-night rental and lift ticket package goes for $30 per person, with an online coupon presented at Sundance Mountain Outfitters. Family night is Monday evening only, when up to four of the same family can ski or ride for $99, including equipment rentals. Additional family members pay $20 for the deal.

These deals are not valid during Jan. 15-17 or Feb. 19-21.
