Skiers and snowboarders in Montana can find deals to get on the slopes. We selected three of the best ticket discounts available this winter and two of the best learn to ski deals for those itching to try.

Bridger Bowl Resort offers their Three On A Wheel To Get The Deal twice in January. The resort rewards those who carpool with discounted lift tickets. Carpools of three of more people to a vehicle are eligible for $15 lift tickets and preferred parking in lots A-D. The Three On A Wheel Deal is available Jan. 14 and 21.

Blacktail Mountain has run their Thrifty Thursday program for years. It's back once again with $25 lift tickets for skiing all day on Thursdays throughout the season.

Great Divide Snowsports launched their weekday specials Jan. 5. Full day lift tickets on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays cost $28 or $40 for two tickets.

Showdown Ski Area scheduled two learn to ski for free days. Any first time skier 7 years old through adult can sign up online in advance for the program, which is offered Jan. 16 and Feb. 3. The two-hour lessons start at 1:30 p.m. and include rental equipment and a lower mountain lift ticket.

Montana Snowbowl reduced the cost of learning to ski or ride on Tuesdays in January, starting this past week. Rentals and lessons are half price, and use of the beginner tow is free.
