Catamount Ski Area was looking to the end of a two-week continuous blitz to open a bunch of new trails. Jiminy Peak shrugs it off and moves into the future with the Sports Illustrated For Kids Next Snow Search on Saturday, which is also Girls Day Out - no boys allowed in lesson programs and such. Free swag, too. Meanwhile, Ski Butternut in Great Barrington watched the thermometer to bring snow back after an ice-launched shutdown. Butternut Squash Jam I is on tap for Saturday at SB.
